The National Olympic Committee (NOC) of Sri Lanka and the Commonwealth Games Association (CGA) of Sri Lanka are seeking a dynamic, proactive, and creative individual to join our team as a Media and Communications Coordinator.
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the global Olympic and Commonwealth Movements and contribute to promoting the values of sport, excellence, and unity across the nation.
Key Responsibilities:
' Develop and implement effective media and communication strategies to enhance the visibility of NOCSL and CGASL activities.
' Create compelling content for social media, websites, newsletters, and other digital platforms.
' Draft press releases, media advisories, athlete profiles, and promotional features.
' Collaborate with National Federations and key stakeholders to source promotional content for events and international Games.
' Support media coordination and communications during domestic and international events.
' Maintain a digital archive of media materials, including photographs and videos.

Coordinate and manage media volunteers and interns during major events and campaigns.
Candidate Profile:
' A bachelor’s degree in Media, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
' Minimum of 3 years of experience in a media, communications, or public relations role.
' Strong command of English and Sinhala/Tamil (written and verbal).
' Familiarity with both traditional and digital media landscapes.
' Proficiency in social media content creation and management.
' Basic knowledge of graphic design and/or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) is an added advantage.
' A keen interest in sports and alignment with Olympic values.

Highly organized, deadline-driven, and able to work both independently and collaboratively.
Contract Type: Fixed-Term contract (with the possibility of permanency based on performance)

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
