Team Sri Lanka

The Yachting Association of Sri Lanka (YASL), the National sports body for Sailing in Sri Lanka held the Sailing Nationals 2021 on 10 and 11, December 2021 at the Ceylon Motor Yacht Club, Bolgoda Lake.
President of the National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka, Mr. Suresh Subramaniam and the Vice Chairman of LOLC, Mr. Ishara Nanayakkara were the Chief Guests at this significant annual event.
The Sri Lanka Navy not only participated with great success and winning multiple events, but also they facilitated to organise this national event with Ceylon Motor Yacht Club. A record number of 116 sailors took part in the sailing competitions. Boats belonging to all sailing classes were represented at this event.
The GP 14 Class, Enterprise Class, Laser Radial Class, Laser Standard Class ad Windsurfing Class were won by the Sri Lanka Navy, the Laser 4.7 Class (Under 18 event) was won by St Thomas College, Mt. Lavinia and the Optimist Class (Under 15 event) was won by Royal College College, Colombo.

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
