Media Accreditations for 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka announces the reopening of media accreditation applications for the 20th Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026, which will take place in Japan. This extension follows renewed interest from media personnel seeking to cover this prestigious international multi-sport event.
 
Applications will remain open until 3.00 pm (Sri Lanka time) ONLY on 30th April 2026.
 
Eligibility Criteria
 
Applicants should meet the following requirements:

    ' Be a Sri Lankan citizen

    ' Proven experience in sports journalism or coverage of national or international sports events

    ' Affiliation with a recognized media organization (TV, print, digital, photo, video)

    ' Strong command of spoken English and good computer literacy

    ' Commitment to professional and ethical journalism standards

    ' Ability to travel independently and cover the Games

    ' Completion of an Olympic Solidarity Sport Administration Course or a related sports course will be considered an added qualification

    ' Knowledge of the language of the host country will be considered an added advantage

 
Important Notes

    ' Applicants should be prepared to cover their own travel, accommodation, and related expenses.

    ' A limited quota may be available under NOC Sri Lanka; however, this is not guaranteed and will be determined only after the interview and selection process.

    ' Applicants who have already submitted applications during the previous opening are NOT required to reapply. This reopening is intended for newly interested applicants only.

 
Application Procedure
 
Interested applicants must submit:

    ' A covering letter indicating interest in the Asian Games Aichi-Nagoya 2026

    ' A detailed Curriculum Vitae

    ' A portfolio or list of previous sports-related coverage (links, clippings, samples)

    ' A letter of endorsement from their affiliated media organization

    ' A recent passport-sized photograph

    ' A clear scanned copy of the passport (Passport should be valid at least until April 2027)

Applications should be emailed to media@olympic.lk or delivered by hand to Sri Lanka Olympic House, 100/9F Independence Avenue, Colombo 07.
 
 
Selection Process

    ' All eligible applicants will be invited for an interview conducted by a selection panel appointed by NOC Sri Lanka

    ' The final list of accredited media personnel will be issued after interviews are completed
