Call for Media Accreditation Applications for International Multi-Sport Games in 2025/6

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka invites applications from media professionals for accreditation to cover the following six international multi-sport events scheduled to take place in 2025/6:
Upcoming Games:
' 3rd Asian Youth Games 2025: Bahrain | October 22-31, 2025
' 14th South Asian Games 2026: Pakistan (Lahore, Faisalabad & Islamabad) | January 23 to 31, 2026
' 23rd Commonwealth Games 2026: Scotland (Glasgow) | July 23 to August 2, 2026
' 20th Asian Games 2026: Japan (Aichi-Nagoya) | September 19 to October 4, 2026
' 4th Youth Olympic Games 2026: Senegal (Dakar) | October 31 to November 13, 2026
' 7th Asian Indoor & Martial Arts Games 2026: Saudi Arabia (Riyadh) | November 2026
Media Pool and Final Selection
A media pool will be selected based on a national application and interview process. The final list of media personnel for each event will be determined based on quota allocations provided by the respective Organising Committees of each Games.
Candidate should satisfy the under-listed details:
' Be a Sri Lankan citizen.
' Proven experience in sports journalism or media coverage of international or national sporting events.
' Affiliation with a recognized media organization (TV, print, digital, photo/video).
' Commitment to ethical and professional standards of journalism.
' Ability to travel and cover events independently.
' Be good in spoken English and possess computer literacy skills.
' Completion of the Olympic Solidarity Sport Administration Course and/or related sport courses will be considered an added qualification.
'
Knowledge of the host country’s language will be considered an added benefit.
Application Procedure
Interested media personnel are requested to submit the following:
' A covering letter indicating the specific Game or Games for which you are applying
' A detailed Curriculum Vitae
' A portfolio or list of previous sports related coverage (links, clippings, samples)
' A letter of endorsement from their affiliated media organization.

A recent passport-sized photograph
Applications should be emailed to media@olympic.lk or delivered by hand to Sri Lanka Olympic House, 100/9F Independence Avenue, Colombo 07.
Selection Process
' All eligible applicants will be invited for an interview conducted by a selection panel appointed by NOC Sri Lanka.
'
Shortlisted candidates will form the media pool, from which final Games-specific accreditations will be issued as per the quotas.
