CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: First Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Course 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) conducts its first Sport Administrators Course, scheduled for year 2026 on 19, 20, 21, 22 March, 2026 at the “Hemasiri Fernando” Auditorium.
 
Applications are expected from individuals who possess the following qualifications:
 
For Sport Administrators

    ' Active involvement of sport administration in your organization or affiliated body

    ' Good educational background at least up to GCE Advanced Level

    ' Good command in English

    ' Good sports background

    ' IT Literacy

Sport Administrators from National Sports Associations/Federations, Lecturers in Sports Sciences/Management and Physical Education, Teachers in Physical Education and Sports Sciences/Management, Sports Administrators attached to three Armed Forces and Police, Sport Administrators from Provincial Councils and other government organizations and all other individuals who involved in sports etc. are eligible for applying for this course. The officials who represent the National Sport Associations/Federations are specially invited for this course as the NOC Sri Lanka considers the completion of this course as a mandatory requirement when selecting team officials (managers/coaches) for international games.
 
The course is based on a Manual delivered by the IOC Olympic Solidarity and designed with few segments. An IOC recognized certificate will be awarded after the completion of course with 100% participation.
 
Applications will be valid only if they are followed by a detailed CV of the applicant and a recommendation letter signed by the Head of applicant’s organisation. The suitable participants for the course will be selected after a one-to-one interview.
 
Applications should reach Secretary General, “Olympic House Sri Lanka”, 100/9F Independence Avenue, Colombo 7 or email to education@olympic.lk on or before March 10, 2026. Applications received after the given deadline will not be entertained and the gender balance of applications will be highly concerned when selecting the applicants.
 
Course Fee: LKR. 25,000.00

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
