' Be a Sri Lankan citizen
' Possess proven experience in sports administration or management at the national or international level.
' Previous experience as a Team Manager, Deputy CDM, or a similar leadership role at international multi-sport events will be a distinct advantage
' Demonstrate the ability to effectively undertake the “Roles and Responsibilities of the Chef de Mission - Team Sri Lanka” as outlined in the attached (Appendix).
' Have a distinguished track record of contribution to the Olympic Movement or Sri Lanka Sport movement.
' Completion of the Olympic Solidarity Sport Administration Course and/or the Advanced Sport Management Course will be considered an added qualification.
' Exhibit strong leadership, communication, and administrative skills, with a proven ability to manage high-performance teams in dynamic, multicultural environments.
' Must have no ongoing disciplinary or legal actions locally or internationally.
' Be proficient in English, both written and spoken, and possess strong computer literacy skills.
' Applicants must not hold any official position within a national team delegation or act as a technical official for the same Games.
'
Knowledge of the host country’s language will be considered an added benefit.

' Excellent interpersonal and diplomatic skills
' Strong organizational and administrative capacity
' Understanding of multi-sport Games protocol and operations
' Conflict resolution and safeguarding awareness
' Commitment to uphold the Olympic values and represent the national interest

Outgoing personality with good communication skills
' Preference will be given to members of National Federations affiliated with NOC Sri Lanka.
' Individuals of all genders are equally encouraged to apply for the CDM position.
' Shortlisted candidates will be required to undergo an interview and assessment by a selection panel appointed by the NOC Sri Lanka.
' The selected Chef de Mission must be available for pre-Games preparatory meetings, training programs, and coordination meetings as required by NOC Sri Lanka.

The final appointment will be subject to approval by the NOC Sri Lanka Executive Committee.

' A letter of endorsement from the respective National Sports Federation, if applicable. In the absence of such, a strong letter of recommendation from a well-respected and renowned sports personality or your employer is required.

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
