CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Asian Games Drawing/Painting Contest 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) is conducting a national level painting/drawing contest on behalf of the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) for children under 13 years to mark the celebration of ‘Asian Games for All’ by giving everyone the chance to be involved in the Games to be held in Aichi-Nagoya in 2026 and live the experience regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability and to promote the Asian Games. 
 
The “Asian Games for All” project aims to engage Asian societies all over the continent, to give everyone the chance to be involved in these Games and live the experience regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability to get involved to promote the Asian Games.  “Asian Games for All” is a space to express the harmony and spirit of the team and the country’s best representation.
 
The project, the Asian Games Drawing Contest offers the opportunity for primary school students in Asia to express their imagination and understanding of the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games 2026 and to show their support for their favourite athletes in their own country or region or to draw their favourite sport.
 
The NOC Sri Lanka will call for an online registration for the children under 13 to engage and promote the concept “Asian Games for All” under the theme of “National Sports and Athletes in 2026 Aichi Nagoya Asian Games.”
 
A national-level painting and drawing competition will be held on 23 January 2026 for children under 13 years of age. The competition aims to select the top 10 artworks (five by boys and five by girls). From these finalists, the top two boys’ and top two girls’ paintings will be chosen to represent Sri Lanka and will be sent to China for the Asian-level contest.
 
Children who are 13 years and below on January 31, 2026. That means the child should be born after January 31, 2013.
 
Timeline and Competition Procedure
 
 
Interested candidates are encouraged to register online via https://forms.gle/Kd64fhpc3iTiPoCe8 on or before January 03, 2026. Then, the registered candidates will be briefed virtually about the contest on January 13, 2026 at 5.30 p.m.

The first registered 50 candidates will be drawing their painting on January 23, 2026. The contest will be held at Sri Lanka Olympic House, Independence Ave., Colombo 07.
The judges’ decision will be final and no appeal will be entertained.
 
Important Dates:
 

    ' December 15, 2025 - Registration open for the contest

    ' January 03, 2026 - Registration closing

    ' January 08, 2026 - Confirmation of participation (50)

    ' January 13, 2026 - Online workshop for selected 50 children

    ' January 23, 2026 - Final contest and select best 10 paintings

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC SL) was inaugurated on 8th April 1937 at a meeting of representatives of Athletic, Swimming and Boxing Associations. As resolved on this day, the first meeting of the Ceylon Olympic and Empire Games Association was held on 30th April 1937.
