CALL FOR APPLICATIONS – 3rd Sport Administrators Course 2026

The National Olympic Committee of Sri Lanka (NOC Sri Lanka) is pleased to invite applications for the 3rd Sport Administrators Course 2026, which will be conducted on 20, 21, 22 and 23 August 2026 at the Hemasiri Fernando Auditorium, Olympic House, Colombo 7.
The Sport Administrators Course, conducted under the IOC Olympic Solidarity programme, is an internationally recognized educational initiative designed to enhance the knowledge, skills and professional competencies of sports administrators and officials involved in the governance, administration and management of sport.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants should meet the following minimum requirements:

Be actively involved in sports administration within a sports organization or affiliated institution.
'
Possess a sound educational background with a minimum qualification of G.C.E. Advanced Level.
'
Have a good command of the English language.
'
Demonstrate a strong background in sport.
'
Be IT literate.
Eligible Applicants
Applications are invited from:
'
Sport Administrators of National Sports Associations and Federations.
'
Lecturers in Sports Science, Sports Management and Physical Education.
'
Teachers of Physical Education and Sports Science/Management.
'
Sports Administrators attached to the Sri Lanka Army, Navy, Air Force and Sri Lanka Police.
'
Sports Administrators from Provincial Councils and other government institutions.
'
Individuals actively engaged in the administration and development of sport.
Special Invitation to Team Officials
Officials representing Sri Lanka at international multi-sport events are especially encouraged to apply.
As part of NOC Sri Lanka's commitment to enhancing the quality and professionalism of Team Sri Lanka delegations, successful completion of the Sport Administrators Course is considered a mandatory requirement when selecting team officials for international competitions.
Accordingly, this edition has been specially tailored for officials who will represent Sri Lanka at the Aichi–Nagoya 2026 Asian Games, including:

Medical Officials

Administrative Officials
Course Structure and Certification
The course is delivered using the official IOC Olympic Solidarity Sport Administrators Course Manual and comprises a series of interactive modules covering key principles of sports governance, administration and management.
Participants who successfully complete the course with 100% attendance will receive an IOC Olympic Solidarity-recognized Certificate of Completion.

A recommendation letter signed by the Head of the applicant's organization.
Shortlisted applicants will be invited for a one-to-one interview prior to the final selection.
