Call for Application: IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine

We are pleased to inform you that the application is being called by NOC Sri Lanka for the International Olympic Committee - Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for the  IOC Diploma in Sports Medicine.  The Diploma program is offered by Distance Learning on a part-time basis, running for a period of six months from 1st October of each year, and takes two years to complete. Students enrolling for this program will normally be in possession of a degree in Medicine from a recognised University and will be eligible for professional registration as a medical practitioner in their respective regions.

 

The Key Dates 

Timetable for 2025 intake (Graduating class of 2027)

NOC Sri Lanka's Deadline to apply: July 31, 2025

Program Begins: October 1, 2025

April 2026: Written examination and end of Part 1 

October 1, 2026: Part 2 begins 

March-May 2027: Mandatory workshop with written examination and end of Program 

Autumn 2027: Graduation

The NOC Sri Lanka could recommend only ONE nominee through a selection process to the International Olympic Committee – Olympic Solidarity (IOC – OS) for financial support to cover the tuition fee. However, kindly note that the scholarship is subject to the acceptance of the IOC – OS. If not, the candidate has to bear the expenses related to the programme. If so, the interested candidates (only Sri Lankan citizens) can submit their Resume together with a recommendation letter and a copy of your passport on or before 4.00 p.m. 31 July 2025 to education@olympic.lk or by post to: "The Secretary General, Sri Lanka Olympic House, 100/9F, Independence Avenue, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka."

Please note that applications received after the deadline will not be considered for the selection process.
