Call for Application: IOC Diploma in Mental Health in Elite Sport Programme

We are pleased to inform you that the application is being called by NOC Sri Lanka for the International Olympic Committee - Olympic Solidarity Scholarship for the IOC Diploma in Mental Health in Elite Sport Programme.  This one-year program is aimed at sports medicine physicians or other physicians who work with athletes, and licensed practitioners who are qualified to provide mental health services (e.g., clinical or counselling psychologists, licensed clinical social workers, licensed mental health counsellors, psychiatric mental health nurses).

Timetable for 2025 intake (Graduating class of 2026)  

NOC Sri Lanka's Deadline to apply: July 15, 2025

Program Begins: September 1, 2025

Written Examination and end of Program: June 2026

Graduation: Autumn 2026

The NOC Sri Lanka could recommend only ONE nominee through a selection process to the International Olympic Committee – Olympic Solidarity (IOC – OS) for financial support to cover the tuition fee. However, kindly note that the scholarship is subject to the acceptance of the IOC – OS. If not the candidate has to bear the expenses related to the programme. If so, the interested candidates (only Sri Lankan citizens) can submit their Resume together with a  recommendation letter and a copy of your passport on or before 4.00 p.m. 15 July 2025 to education@olympic.lk or by post to: "The Secretary General, Sri Lanka Olympic House, 100/9F, Independence Avenue, Colombo 07, Sri Lanka.". Please note that applications received after the deadline will not be considered for the selection process.
