7th IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport

The International Olympic Committee - Olympic Solidarity (IOC – OS) is offering a total of 10 scholarships for NOC candidates (all around the world) to attend the 7th IOC World Conference on Prevention of Injury and Illness in Sport, taking place in Monaco from 29 February to 2 March 2024.

 

The candidate should be in charge of / taking care of the medical services for the Paris Games to take part in the conference whom working with NOC Sri Lanka closely. The scholarship covers the registration fees and accommodation (which will be paid directly to the organizer) and travel in standard economy class, direct routing from the country of residency to Principality of Monaco, including public transport from the closest airport to the conference venue and visa costs if applicable. The travel will be refunded to the NOC upon receipt of the financial report on Relay; please note that the scholarship does not include per diems.

 

Kindly note that, IOC – OS may prioritize NOCs with the greatest need in the scholarship allocation process.

 

The scholarship recipients will also participate in the International Federation and National Olympic Committee Medical Commission Chairpersons Meeting, which will take place ahead of the World Conference on 27 – 28 February 2024 at the same location, and will discuss the medical preparations for the Paris Games.

 

The NOC Sri Lanka could recommend only ONE nominee through a selection process to the International Olympic Committee – Olympic Solidarity (IOC – OS) for financial support to cover the tuition fee. However, kindly note that the sponsorship is subject to the acceptance of the IOC – OS. If not the candidate has to bear the expenses related to the programme. Please note that applications receiving after the deadline of 26th September 2023 will not consider for the selection process.
