Indika won the silver medal at the Commonwealth Games 2018 at Gold Coast in 69kg weight category. He also won silver medals at South Asian Games (2016), Commonwealth Weightlifting Championship 2015, 2013 & 2009. Indika also won the national honours from 2010 – 2016 whilst holding the new Sri Lanka record of 252kg lift in 2013 in the 62kg lift.
